The Self-fulfilling Prophecy

In was the year 2012, a super being called Mirdal lived around the earth for 28,000 years. His job was to float around the earth and protect it from the negative forces to break into the shield of the earth and penetrate the weather layers of the earth.

Earth though being one of the oldest and strongest planet was still vulnerable to weather related disturbances because she was not given the protective coat by the father. He simply ran out of gaseous plasma by the time earth was ready to explode into reality.

In a hurry they both decided until the time he can gather enough protective sheath of gas around her atmosphere he will send one of his powerful protecting guardians to save it from any external disturbances that can disrupt its delicate cycle.

The father was not ready for what was to be created from the very womb of the earth. Toxic gases started melting out of her core as soon as she exploded into the real world. Sun and Jupiter were exerting their own heat and gravity to protect her from being destroyed. They balanced her out by Jupiter attracting the noxious gas plumes towards himself and the Sun kept on providing heat to prevent her from freezing.

Father knew that the Saturn is coming in a close brush with his daughter and something had to be done to avoid the nascent planet from destruction by the powerful rays of the Saturn. He sent out one his powerful guardians to the external orbit of the earth to guard the life forms that were emerging on the earth which, would eventually lead to the development of a race that would change the course of evolution of the galaxies and the universe itself.

Mirdal descended from the high layers of galaxy Astrada, 7th degree in alignment with the Supersun to shield the daughter earth. Gaia looked benignly at him and blessed him with powers to protect. As soon as he reached close to the earth he fell in love with her beauty. Her gorgeous green plains, colorful life forms that she was shaping in her dreams were bursting into reality in her external forms.

She was in a suspended state of sleep, unaware of her own beauty and poise. He took a deep breath in admiration and embraced her in his protective field and merged with her existence. As it happened the earth shook violently, mountains and new landforms started emerging, goddess cried tears of joyous yet mighty rivers that traveled through her landscape merging into one big ocean.

The gorgeous young earth took her first beautiful breath and woke up to see her own self. She was pleased and ecstatic. Her laughter resonated through the universe. Attracting beautiful yet powerful beings of light from several universes to herself. Such powerful first seven beings left their seeds on earth to develop.

That was the first step of creation of seven races or super civilization of wise men on earth. Peace and harmony was buzzing in the milky way. Pleased with the progress of her the daughter earth Father was relieved.
He knew that Mirdal is doing his job well. Centuries passed by, the wise seed civilizations left their imprints for the lesser humans to follow and ascend in future. After they left there was a phase of eerie silence on earth. The gods in-charge got worried but Earth surprised them again this time as a grown up woman, healthy and strong her signs showed vitality and maturity.

Her physical body had reached the state of perfection, she yawned and woke up shaking and moving her body in a lazy slow stretch, the earth shook again. The mighty animals moved for shelter but all were buried back into the earth as food for the future life forms to come. The seeds left from the early wise civilizations germinated again on different continents that were created from one giant Pangaea. It ripped open when the young mother earth stretched her physical body.

Several centuries passed by,the races evolved physically, emotionally mentally and scientifically.Father felt reassured that Mirdal is doing his job right. The powerful wise co-creators who contributed in the creation of the earth wanted to test her mettle. Now that the earth had grown up and evolved. His children were even allowed to travel physically out of her own dimensions and explore the other planets in space. The co-creators went to the father and took his permission to test the earth by prodding her to evolve back to the high state where she descended from. At first she slowed down her vibrations to condense and create herself now it would be her test to vibrate herself back to super consciousness.

The earth took a long look at her forefathers and agreed for the test. She started putting seed of her own consciousness into her own life forms. In order for her to vibrate higher the beings living on her had to vibrate high enough to endure the changes. Several ascended beings came  down, took birth and trained other souls, some worked from the etheric realms, some worked as guides to the capable earthly humans and propagated their message.

The stage was set, universe was abuzz with excitement. Everybody was ready for the final evolution of the earth. By now she was becoming middle aged it was time for her spiritual progress. She started to shake and churn to dislodge the stagnation created over the years, clean out the debris of her past and align herself to a new vibration.

Suddenly the time came up for the change in the earths guardians, Mirdal had completed the period assigned to him.The universe got alarmed. The dark forces of the universe had been eyeing an opportunity to take over the prodigal daughter and use her for their evil purposes. It was crucial state. Mirdal was summoned back. He looked helplessly at earth, it was time to let go.

She dropped a tear of helpless separation. But her maturity helped her to brace herself and await the new protector. He was descending with the speed of lightning to replace Mirdal in a non fathomable slice of time in the universe. A change that would take place in a miniscule fraction of time that would expose the earth to all kinds of malignant forces waiting for eons to take over. The dark forces had already used their power to convey their message of doom and destruction to the susceptible humans in-order to weaken their vibrations and find an easy pathway to take control.

When the moment of change came father smiled in radiance. He believed in his daughter. He watched in rapt attention along with other co-creators and stake holders. Non interference was the rule of the game.

In the meantime the spiritual messengers embraced humanity in positivity and high vibration. As Mirdal slowly detached earth's emotions showed outwardly. Her oceans churned with deep pain and the deep buried fire pits blasted in anguish. He was letting go for Artherius to take over.

Each zillionth part of a nano second felt like an eternity to those who were witnessing. Slowly the limbs detached first and she joined her hands with her new guardian. Then came the vital organs Mirdal retreated and Artherius merged his heart with hers, earth melted in pain of separation while she embraced her new protector.

Then came the mental body, this alignment brought a change in the consciousness of all life forms on earth. They suddenly remembered and yearned for the Creator again. The super consciousness was creating pleasurable ripples around her body now. The shift was almost done, barring one last switch, that was a key that went through the primeval cord of the navel of the protector into the belly of the earth connecting her with the super-conscious life force.

It was the almost the 21st day of December 2012 in the earthly time. Mirdal slowly withdrew the key from the womb of the earth and handed it to the Artherius. The earth became asleep for that zillionth part of a nano second of the inter galactic time.

All the god and goddesses surrounded her to protect her when she goes through the switch. Sun and Jupiter came close to beam their protective energy on her. Saturn watched as a witness on the side. Finally Artherius rolled the celestial key back into the earth and woke her back gently. The mother goddess wept tears of joy and the co-fathers bestowed numerous blessing on the earth. It was moment of celestial celebration.

The earth had succeeded in protecting the course of evolution of the universe.
A tear of purest silvery joy rolled out of the Creator's heart it became a bright blue silvery moon that would accompany the earth in her future journey.

The living beings on the planet had started aligning themselves with the new vibration of the mother earth. Those who could not relate to the vibrations took off to the other pockets of the universe where they can work out their progress slowly and rejoin the rest in their journey back to super-light.

The Awareness of Unawareness

Shankaranand was a shy old man who spent most of his day in prayers. He was a sanyasi by choice. He ate frugally, lived simply and gave away all the extra income that came to him by his discourses on Brahmgyan (the knowledge of Eternal Light).

One night in his sleep he had dreams of all his loved ones passing away; he repeatedly saw their lifeless forms. He was jolted out of his slumber because of the shock that his being experienced by those dreams. He was disappointed by realizing his own fear of death and fear of separation from his loved ones. He understood that he is still a very attached and lost being.
Shankarand hurriedly wore his dhoti and chaddar and took off to the nearest cremation ground by the bank of the holy river Gandak.

It was the dead of the night; the keeper of the ground was fast asleep in his cottage.
Shankaranand sat next to the three burning pyres by the river. He could hear packs of hyenas laughing sinisterly from the bushes, owls were hooting through the dead stillness, and bats flew past his head repeatedly. The scenario was enough to scare any sane individual but he had seen enough death in his sleep to let any fear move him while he is awake.

He asked the Divine Light to show him the most frightening form of death. A voice boomed in his head and it asked "Shankaranand! Are you sure you can face the dreadful face of the death and fear?"
To which he nodded his head and said yes.
The voice boomed again, "Then open your eyes and see it for yourself."

He opened his eyes and saw movement in the burning body of the man right next to him. The half burnt skeletal form moved off the logs of charred wood and got up. The bones were rickety and the flesh was still burning on them. The half burnt body moved slowly towards him. Sankaranand stared at it blankly. As it came close, the actual human face of the dead man trailed around the horrifying apparition like a double image on a mirror.

The apparition finally spoke, "Shankarananad, I am Gangadhar, the village grocer. A few nights ago in my shop I saw rat droppings in the rice container. I cleaned it up thinking that throwing away so much rice would not be profitable for my business. So what if people eat it, they eat such contaminated stuff anyway. I forgot to wash my hand before having dinner at home. Two days later I died of stomach poisoning. My greed took away my life. Now look at me, do I look like I can use those extra coins?"

Shankaranand sighed and did not respond to his question. The apparition fell on the ground and disappeared slowly.

Then he heard the eerie sound of anklets, he saw a very beautiful young girl rising from the ashes of the second body. She wore bride's outfit- red and golden sari and dazzling jewelery. She had a veil on her face and she walked slowly and coyly. She looked at him from the corner of her eyes as she moved closer to him. He looked up again. "She is indeed very beautiful! I wonder what happened to this innocent young girl?", he thought to himself.

She spoke in a haunting low melodious voice. "My husband never came home; I have been waiting from the night of our wedding till today. It has been 30 years. I am still an untouched virgin longing for my mate. I know he ran away with another girl in the village that very night. Yet I waited in hope for the fulfillment of my desire to be a wife, a mother and live the life of a Grahasthin (homemaker).
Look at me-I died, but my desires are keeping me alive and young, now I will find him again and marry him. This time I will make sure that he does not run away on the night of our wedding with someone else."

Shankaranad felt pity for the woman who agonized for a punishingly long period of time for the fulfillment of her desires.

Finally from the last pyre, dark bellowing smoke started rising. Instinctively he was about to cover his nose. As he stopped, he heard loud coughing. A woman rose from her pyre; her lungs were emitting black soot. From her lungs jumped out tiny human skeletons. Thousands of them sprung out, running amok. He looked at her form inquisitively. All those nasty beings were running into a hole of light that pierced open on the other side and her lungs became clearer slowly. As those being jumped  into light he saw something that shocked him. A demonic skeleton being jutted out of her backbone, and grew into her like an attached twin. He spoke through his saw-like demonic teeth, as he hissed and spoke in a hoarse voice. "I am her nemesis. She destroyed my family in her last birth. We decided to come and live in her body, and destroy her this time. Now our vengeance is complete." He hissed demonically and fell back into the ashes.

Shankaranad took a sigh of relief.
Morning was breaking through the darkest hour of the night. He got up and walked slowly towards the Gandak.

As he looked at his own image into the water he thought to himself,
"I, the form of Shankaranand, ran from the fear of attachment and the pain it caused me in my sleep.
Here my awakened self sees the grotesque forms of Greed, Desire, Vengeance and Ego.
I wonder which one is useful in life and which one exists beyond death.
I know now that none of it it useful when I am alive. Nothing sticks to my being when I am dead.
Then why am I feeling it? Why did these dead people feel it? What did they want to know through that emotion?
Did those souls want that experience of suffering caused by those emotions?
Was that the only purpose of their birth?"
He felt sad at the pain caused by the ignorance of those souls.
He was sad at the thought of his own attachment to the physical forms of his loved ones around him?
" If all of them are Divine energies then why am I so attached to their body and appearance?
Is that the Leela/Maya of God that operates through different beings, making us feel attached to the voice, sound, laughter, humor and the way a being creates itself as a unique individual.
Whether it is Kama (Lust), Krodh (Anger) Lobha (Greed), Ahankar (Ego) or Moh (Attachment).
Would I still fear death if I accepted them as they are without becoming a part of them?
Would I feel pain if I stayed a witness, even if I stood right in the path of the hurricane of these emotions?"

The worst of these emotions is the fear of these emotions. The questions were many and the answer was only one.
Sun rose slowly coloring the dull sky with flames of orange.

He walked slowly feeling the cool morning air on his body. The silence of the earth rising from its slumber soothed him. Sounds of birds chirping filled the morning sky. The heaviness of the night lifted off his heart. He felt a new found joy surging from his being.
He realized that death is a doorway to birth of something new. Sometimes a breakdown is necessary for a breakthrough. Only then one can realize that the true purpose of life is to live it.

Slave of his Past

Alif Sheikh was a heartless , cruel slave trader. He traveled through the length and breadth of the deserts capturing and buying helpless humans and selling them as slaves.

He would huddle them like cattle, sear their flesh and brand them with hot iron. If they tried escaping the mark on their skin meant even more cruel treatment if recaptured alive.

He amassed a lot of wealth by his unholy trade of humans. Until one day he went home to find his otherwise happy and cheerful daughter and wife sitting mournful, with pale faces as if they have seen death. There was no food on the table. His mansion smelled of the stench of rotten flesh. Flies buzzed around the zombie like bodies of his wife and daughter.
He took his sword and left the house with the intent of never returning back. He walked deep into the desert; tired he collapsed on the sand. He understood his past evil deeds have hit him back with a vengeance.

He felt a heavy cloud of remorse hitting him, he looked towards the sky and murmured to God that he knows he is a big sinner and he does not deserve mercy so we wont even dishonor the Almighty by asking for forgiveness.
He collapsed on the dry sands and drifted slowly from his body. When he almost lost consciousness he had a vision of angels. Then one of them spoke to him in a resonant voice, "Alif! Get up! We have a message for you from the almighty. He has forgiven your sins on one condition".

Sheikh interrupted " But a sinner like me does not deserve another chance".
Angel reassured him "You may not be able to forgive yourself but almighty does, he always gives you a second chance, it is up to you to take it and resolve your past errors, We want you to walk to the pool next to the creek, you will find an abandoned infant there, take him home with you, bring him up like your own and all your deeds will be forgiven. When you reach home you will find your home as usual with laughter of your daughter and wife trailing in the corridors and a feast awaiting you on your table". Saying this the apparition melted into the desert air.
Sheikh lifted his heavy heart and body form the sand and paced slowly towards the oasis. When he reached there he found no signs of an infant there, he thought may be the desert sun created a mirage, or his mind was playing tricks on him. He turned away and started to walk back when he heard the ear-piercing wail of an infant floating in a basket, stuck under a big boulder. He hurried to rescue the infant still dazed at the realization that he was not hallucinating.

When he reached home he found his mansion buzzing with life again, as if the hell he witnessed there days ago never happened.
He raised the boy with tremendous love and gratitude. He was a changed man. He gave up his slave trade and traded in gems and jewels. He became the wealthiest Seikh in the region. He decided if God gave him a new life he must impart the same gift to others. The rich Seikh went door to door to find slaves bought them back at whatever price the owners quoted and set them free. He did that for many years.

His son grew up to be a powerful youth. People loved and respected him; he was accepted as the leader of the clan. Together the father and son ran their kingdom.
Seikh died as an old man, with peace in his heart. The unchained souls blessed his heart to be freed of guilt.

I await with bated breath.

I have flown over miles of scorching desert , yet I gathered not a grain of sand.
I moved with torrents, rivers and dropped down steep canyons yet I am not drenched
I blossomed with a million magnolias and flowered with fragrant roses, not a thorn scratched me
I welled out as tears through saddened tired eyes, yet I stained no cheeks.
I laughed a million laughs with friends and dears yet it did not stop a beat
I fell, skidded, cut and bruised myself a million times yet I carry no scars
I ate many filling delicious sumptuous meals and I feel full only with his name.

No form,
no shape,
no words,
no fear,
no pain
no deep darkness
no euphoric floating feeling fills the void of the absence of my beloved

I remember him in every breath now, I await my union with him.
like a  baby awaits his mothers warm breast, overflowing with love for him

A love so unconditional,
so fulfilling
so complete
Words lose meaning,
heights lose their thrill,
abyss loses its frightening dark depths,

Where endless darkness defines light,
Where light is the deepest song of darkness

My heart desires for nothing but him
My beloved reveal yourself to me!

Transcendence of being.

To be in totality, fragmentation of reality is essential, only then the being can generate the capacity to combine the parts of the fragments to create the whole, because the whole exists in all time and spaces.
But this is not true in existential understanding of a being, because of the tendency of the being to BE. Hence we forget because we exist in totality, in a deep rapt meditative state of being human. For a human being to shed its human limitation and be all and everything, he/she needs to wake up from a very deep hypnotic meditative state. Therefore to wake up from that deep hypnotic state of being a human, we develop methods and exercises that are called as meditation  techniques, regressions;anything to help us make  a leap to the state of being beyond human.

Different things work for different individuals, once the right technique clicks one can take the leap.
So the two forms of meditative states at all times for all the beings are:
a) State of being whole.
b) The fragmented being.

In order to jump to the state of being whole we need to break this meditative state of being a human being. To be back from the state of oneness or being whole one needs to break itself into myriad consciousnesses to experience fragmented realities.
Both the states are hypnotic and deeper one is in any state more difficult it is to connect to the other side.

Talking of devices, the process of collecting back fragments of self, being by being , the fragmented reality inadvertently brings a being repeatedly to the state of being Whole. And the being consolidates itself by remembering scattered pieces of its own self.
This act of consolidates brings about the realization that we are Whole and Complete in ourselves.
The hypnotism breaks and the meditation becomes transcendental; when one remains aware of its fragmented experience yet it can jump into the meditative state of being Whole. So the being transcends between the two states.

The dichotomy , the yin and yang, the Shiva and Shakti in that state can both be accessed by the being in a single moment.
The fragments are nothing but fragments of the Whole. Both can be experienced by the meditater, by being in a state of no-state, non-being, neither positive nor negative, neither fragmented nor the Whole,by simply being in the center, where pendulum stops swaying, where both 'aatm' and 'brahmn 'exist together; the creator and the creation being one and the same.

Hence a switch from moment to moment enables one to center himself and he frees himself from either of the two hypnotic , meditative states of either being fragmented or the whole, just the realization of being both. One becomes a witness to both states:

Attachment and non-attachment
Renouncement and consumption
Creator and creation
Of being Love and being loved

That is when one is not brahm not manushya but par-brahmn because he is beyond being brahm.
That s the state of perfection all beings seek.
Through these steps:
1) Realizing you are not just a human by using certain techniques/methods of meditations.
2) When hypnotism breaks the being realizes its the Whole, bliss proceeds
3) Collecting fragmented selves, and the realization deepens that one is the sum of all those fragments.
4) Realization happens that all fragments make the whole which is the being himself.
5) Transcendence  between the two states neither fragmented nor whole.
6) When you can be both at the same time
7) When transcendence becomes a natural state you are both at all times hence you are none.

Hopes of Grief.

Pratyek and Prakrit laid there mats on the floor, preparing to sleep. These boys have been learning from Buddha himself, they have been in the vihara for two years now.

Buddha saw them progressing and decided to test them. Buddha called them one morning after his sermon in his cottage. He chopped off a lock of his hair and said "this is energy, it has all the knowledge that I have gathered from last 37 years, I want you two to take turns and put this lock under your pillow and sleep. This will reveal all the knowledge to you in your sleep and you can progress in a shorter span of time."

Pratyek was very excited about keeping the lock under his pillow for the first night, he begged Prakrit to let him keep it first. Prakrit was a patient being, he calmly nodded.
That night in his sleep Pratyek visited many realms, ether and underworlds, demi-gods and goddesses, who talked to him and revealed many things to him.

Next day when Pratyek woke up he was excited but his next thought was 'if Prakrit slept with this lock under his pillow tonight he may experience more than him and it may deplete the energy from Buddha's hair.'
For the rest of the day he pondered over how to avoid such an event.

Dusk cascaded slowly by then he made up his mind.Prakrit was unaware of the turmoil in his friends head, he went to bed with lock of hair under his pillow. As soon as he drifted off to sleep, Pratyek got up, he slowly pulled the strand of hair from under his friends pillow, kept it under his head and slept off. He got up early next morning and kept the hair back under his friends pillow while Prakrit was still asleep.

Every evening Buddha would discuss the events of the night with them, Prakrit would feel lost, he had no visions, no prophecies to share with them. He felt disappointed with the exercise. He did not trust the lock of hair and dream method but he pursued it because he loved Buddha.

Buddha knew what exactly is going on, yet he pretended to watch the outcome of this exchange between his students.

One evening after an elaborate discussion on dreams and interpretations of prophecies, Prakrit felt he had nothing to contribute, he excused himself, went out and sat by the banks of Kalindi river.
The water in the river looked like a dark black curtain, he stared blankly at it, he dropped tears of frustration and utter helplessness sitting under the Vakula tree. Buddha watched the drama unfolding with his celestial eye.

Prakrit sat and cried endless tears then stillness dawned on him and he reassessed his situation:
He asked himself:

What am I grieving for ?
The inner being answered 'because you created an expectation of spiritual growth and learning, you put all your faith in it, expecting result and when it did not materialize you felt pain.'

He went deeper into the soliloquy..

What is it about this expectation that makes my heart grieve so much?
..because you have imagined your sense of well being and happiness based on that outcome, your happiness is dependent on an outcome, if the otuocme is not there then there is no happiness in your being.

How do I get past this matrix of expectation and pain?
Firstly, you need to let go of the idea that happiness in your life is dependent on outcomes of your dreams, investments and efforts.

The what is the purpose of living if there is no happiness and fulfillment?

That's where you are missing the point, your happiness is never dependent on any kind of fulfillment, right now you think if you had visions like your friend you would be happy suppose if that comes true, tomorrow you may want higher level of energy and self awareness. If that is not fulfilled you will be unhappy again.

Does that mean I should live an aimless dreamless existence?

No, creation of life itself depends on creation of dreams you must dream but not about the outcomes just your dream outcome happens with joyous pursuits.we feel unhappy and disappointed only when things do not turn out to be the way we expected them to. If we drop the outcome from our consciousness we can achieve far more than what we set out for ourselves.

So if I don't expect I wont be unhappy, I must only dream and not expect?

Your dream itself creates an outcome, your mind creates the desire for a certain kind of outcome, and losing that certain kind of outcome should not be the cause of your pain.
You must always remember there is never anything to lose in life. When you are dropping expectations from life, people and situation you are setting yourself free from pain.

Why is it that I feel this lingering pain in my heart though i understand exactly what it is?

This is the pain of hope, as long as hope is there, fear, anxiety and pain will follow. Drop all of it and you are free.

Prakrit opened his eyes slowly, it was the dark hour of the night, he was engrossed in a conversation with his inner being for a long time. He looked at the dark river and for a moment he saw Buddha's image on the water, smiling that inner knowing smile.

Prakrit went back to his cottage, Pratyek was waiting for his friend to go to bed so he may retrieve the lock of hair from under his pillow. Prakrit understood, he pretended to be asleep and he let his friend have one more sleep full of fancy dreams.

The treasure that he has found was more precious than a rich dreamlife. He drifted to a deep restful sleep that night.

Satyawaan's deep slumber and Savitri's ordeal

A cord  severed and a bond snapped
cords  hanging charred and lifeless in ether
an opportunity wasted a celestial coincidence ignored
sun shone bright
earth below her feet felt parched and cracked
thorn poked through her weary soles
Satyawans lifeless form lay there in the setting sun
Savitri  vows to change the situation..
she gets up and stands against the sun
picks up a dry stick lying close by
she hits out at the setting sun for going down too early too soon
tears running out of her eyes,
she is hitting and lashing at the sun
cursing it from deep in her heart

it was suppose to stay up forever
shining and showing them the way
she cries tears falling on the ground
next to Satyawaan's still form
she is beyond grief, the deep dark descending night engulfs her heart
she is choked with pain, a song of deep meloncholy fills the space
goddess sings, in the cool stillness of the night
a howling moaning monotony of death like sounds
savitri feels no fears those howls in the air do not scare her
her pain of seperation has made her indifferent to fear
she lies next to satyawaan embracing him
she holds him with all the love her heart could muster
she looks at the star lit sky and gazes at it with blankness
A star far away twinkles for her attention
startled she notices it becoming brighter and bigger
soon it is as big as the sun
dark night and a sun brighter than a thousand suns, right  before her eyes
Now she knows the sun she grieved for was meant to go down with the dusk
It was this sun that she awaited, she stares wordlessly in utter disbelief
she nudges Satyawaan to see it for himself, so he may see that  it is not over yet
what they thought was lost was never meant for them
it was this brighter than brightest star that awaited to be awakened by deep calling from their hearts
only a call made in such pain could be heard universes away
"He heard us, he is here for us, wake up O! Satyawaan"...
she whispers the eternal truth into his ears as a medium of the goddess
howling winds cease their morose songs of gloom
a being steps out of the mighty sun and touches Satyawaan's forehead
day breaks, satyawaan realizes the truth behind the veil
he opens his heart to a new dawn
the cord that were charred, begin to show patches of green
new leaves, new shoots, new life breathes into the lifeless form again
dewy air carries the message of love to him
He wakes up from his sleep to find the love supreme.

The Grace of Giving.

Sahikya was learning how to be a real monk, his childhood revolved around cleaning his master Taro's little cottage to perfection, working in the fields and going to the village with his teacher asking for grains.

His master emphasized on consuming only half of the grains donated to them and sow the rest in the field .When the crop was harvested  it was used to feed the poor and crippled.

His master Taro left the physical plane when Sahikya completed his training. He continued his practice of begging for grains, sowing half and donating the crops to the needy. All the wasteland on the outskirts were transformed into lush green fields over time. When villagers noticed he is producing far bigger crop than their fields, they refused to donate  any more grains to him.

He went hungry for days, his master then appeared in his dream and told him he must now break the rule or he will not have the strength to work in the fields and feed the poor anymore, such a sacrifice is wasteful. He said "If your penance is not bringing any good to the world, instead it is confining you to some irrelevant moral fulfillment then it is a waste."He told him to eat a part of his own produce and donate the rest to the poor but instruct them now to work with him and encourage them to grow their own food grains by sowing at least half of what they receive from him.

Poor people of the village obediently followed his instructions out of their love for him and respect for his generosity. Soon the entire arid stretch for several miles on the outskirts of the village turned into granaries. While the villager's crops dried and their stored grains rotted over time, they went hungry, in a barter economy survival became difficult.

They realized their mistake and went to the zen master asking him to forgive their selfish short sightedness.Sakhiya  showed compassion for those confused beings, he asked them to join the beggars who had now become workers in his fields and earn their own livelihood with humility and donate at least half to the poor.

When we share  what we have happily with others and use our resources thoughtfully nature rewards us limitlessly. When we cook for others happily food is tastier, when we plant a tree for others it bears more fragrant  flowers and sweeter fruits. When we pray for others it is always heard. More we give of ourselves freely to the world more comes our way through the universe.

Just like a river that flows through, giving nurturing pure water selflessly to the world and nature makes sure that it reaches the ocean, while a pond stores and stagnates water, it has little usage except to provide a home for fish and wild plants. It eventually putrefies or dries out completely.

Principle of energy is flawless; one who allows his resources to flow freely becomes a channel of the divine source and those who hold on to their resources remain confined to them.

Indian Monsoons

Those slow days are here again,
All green with showering cool rain
squirrels chirp and crows crow
sun filters through the neem leaves
sometimes I hear a koyal cooing and a peacock in the distance
spider lillies spray the fragrance of  village ponds
lined by smooth slippery earth and water hyacinths.
stray dogs jostle for affection during my post dinner walks.
I feel such exuberance in my being
all things stay still and move at the same time
oh! the slow juiciness of it
the joy of morning sounds
insects crawling on bark of trees
dark sweet fruits on jamuns and curry leaves
mint chutneys and mango shorbet
Indian monsoons at their best
the twilight zone of the seasons
A time of transition and transformation
I am falling in love with the existence all over again.
